The course in Tropical Medicine and Public Health is part of the Master's Programme in International Health (MScIH) and a requirement for the Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Public Health (DTMPH) and the Diploma in International Public Health (DIPH), respectively. However, the module can also be taken as a stand-alone course.
The 15-week course introduces International Health. It includes the following topics: 1) concepts, theories and methods of qualitative and quantitative research in international and global health (medical anthropology and qualitative methods, epidemiology and statistics, Research design and scientific writing), 2) global health challenges (communicable and non-communicable diseases, sexual and reproductive health, child and adolescent health, environmental health, social determinants of health, nutrition etc.), and 3) health systems management and global health policies (health care planning and management, health systems evaluation and health economics a financing).

How to register:
The course is open to individuals with an interest in International Health. Minimum requirements: Bachelor degree in an health related field, English proficiency certificate equivalent to a TOEFL score of 550 paper /213 internet /80 online, or IELTS score 6.
