The goal of this intensive workshop is to provide skills, knowledge and best practices for managing teams of diverse national and cultural backgrounds. Because intercultural competence is your secret weapon for successful cross-cultural teams! Learn how to address the big challenge that intercultural teams and their leaders face on a daily basis: How to create a level of understanding and trust which helps each individual to bring their best self to the table, to thrive as an individual and to succeed as a team.
Aims
After the workshop you have:
- A better understanding about your own cultural background and your potential cultural blindspots
- You learn what drives and motivates people from different cultures
- You know how to interpret cultural differences and the resulting behavior by applying the 6D Model of Prof. Geert Hofstede
- You learn to adapt your decisions about delegating responsibilities, coaching team members and giving feedback, according to cultural differences
- You learn how to build up trust and confidence in culturally diverse teams
Methodology and Didactics
The case studies exercises, simulations and other learning elements of the workshop are designed specifically to address common issues and challenges that intercultural teams face. You get one day of full immersion into world cultures and learn how this translates into the business context. The learning will build on your personal and professional experience and can be applyed to your specific needs. This training will challenge your point of view, to make sure that you can expand your way of seeing things and to gain new perspectives.
